WELCOME TO MY WORLD

let me give you a little taste of what i go through with my little manipulator landon. i'm going to type it just how it went down.
today is landons first day of summer. landon says "mom, i want to play with my friend aspen from school today" i say " i don't know aspens phone number, do you?" landon " no, can't you just look it up on the computer?" i say " do you know aspens dads name and her last name?" landon " no, can't you just look it up in the phone book." i say " not with out a last name and her dads name." some whining takes place for a couple of min. i say " you might have to wait till you go to first grade and see her their and get her number then." landon " no, that's too far away." he whines some more and says " she says she lives by the blue park, can't we just go knock on every ones door by the blue park till we find her house?" i say " no, i'm not going to just knock on a bunch of strangers doors till we find aspens house." landon " well, can i?" i say "no!" landon " well when we go trick or treating we knock on strangers doors" i say firmly " i'm not going to let you go knock on strangers doors till you find aspens house! maybe sometime this summer when we go to the blue park, maybe she will be their and we can get her number and i can talk to her mom." landon " well, can we go to the blue park today?" i say " no" landon whines and cries for a couple more minutes till ryan comes out of our room and says "landon enough! we don't have aspens number you can't play with her ok." ryan leaves to go back to getting ready for work. landon says to me quietly so ryan can't hear " mom,can't we just go to the blue park and yell her name?"
my mom says his persistence will make him a great missionary some day. and i said if i let him live that long, this will be the story i tell at his farewell!
